Board Nominations- New OPEN ROLE

    Dear Dolphin Families-

    We are excited for our party where we can celebrate a great season, and are also preparing for an even better one next year! We NEED YOU! We continue to be in our period of OPEN NOMINATIONS for the BOARD- and this includes nominations for a new role we have added called EVENT COORDINATOR (after collapsing Apparel and Awards with Fundraising to create one separate role). 

    The Event Coordinator proposes, sets up and executes approved extracurricular activities during the swim season, such as community engagement, registration, parent meeting, pre-Season party, pep rally, end-of-Season awards/business meeting, etc. The position will be a festive one that brings organization and fun to our season! 

    Including this new role, the open positions on the board are as follows: 

    • Communications/Secretary- OPEN 
    • Apparel, Awards & Fundraising- OPEN
    • Event Coordinator- OPEN 

    The qualifications for board nominees are that they be: (1) Nominated by at least two members (other than themselves); (2) Have SUPER VOLUNTEER status during the 2019 swim season (see previous emails or newsletters).

    The process for nominating a board candidate is to email nominating committee members Nicole Gerrard nicolegerrardcfd@gmail.com and Natalie Blasingame drnataliekb@gmail.com before midnight on Friday, June 21, 2019.

    We will confirm the interest of those nominated, interview candidates at the board meeting on Monday, June 24th, and elect members through silent vote at that meeting. We will send an email announcement to the team the week following.

    Please consider nominating someone- or express your interest to others who can nominate you. We look forward to a great 40th anniversary season.
